2019 Prague-Montreal Pilot Exchange

Fonderie Darling, a center for visual arts in Montreal, in partnership with FUTURA, center for contemporary art in Prague, launches a pilot program aiming to engage a dialogue between Canadian and Czech artistic scenes, and to foster mobility between Montreal and Prague. A call for applications is open for curators in visual arts who wish to do a 1-month research and prospection residency, in Prague for Canadians, and in Montreal for Czechs. The participants in this exchange are offered a unique opportunity to extend their knowledge of exceptionally dynamic art scenes, to promote artists from their country in return, and to further develop their professional network.

The residency takes place in October 2019, in the context of the bustling fall cultural season, in Prague and in Montreal. Residents are provided with a personalized program of support and networking in order to make the most of their time in residency.

The residency at Fonderie Darling includes:

- Roundtrip airfare between Czech Republic and Montreal up to $1,000 CAD
- A studio-room at Fonderie Darling, from October 1 to 31, 2019
- Access to communal spaces (kitchen, shower and bathrooms, laundry, living-room)
- High speed wireless internet connection
- A weekly perdiem of $400 CAD
- A personalized support, promotion and networking program 

The residency at FUTURA includes :

- Roundtrip airfare between Canada and Prague up to $1,500 CAD
- Accommodation in Prague, from October 1 to 31, 2019 
- A weekly perdiem of 4,000 CZK
- A personalized support, promotion and networking program
