The technical workshop made available to professional artists allows them to explore new techniques and expand their practice to include other media. As a leading hub for creation and presentation in the visual arts, Fonderie Darling is thus enriching its activities by establishing a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary production space. By fostering the sharing of expertise, Fonderie Darling aims to strengthen collaborations within Montreal’s artistic community.
Since the conversion of the former industrial foundry into a visual arts center, and later into local and international artist residencies, Fonderie Darling has always promoted a spirit of cooperation by supporting the creation and presentation of works by emerging artists. Therefore, it was important to the organization to make state-of-the-art equipment accessible at a very affordable membership fee.

WORKSHOP ACCESS
The workshop operates according to a social economy model and in a spirit of cooperation.
To access the workstations and equipment, users must:
- Contact the workshop;
- Become a member (pay the fee and sign a contract) (with the exception of the ceramics workstation);
- Book a time slot.
Members have access to all workstations under the supervision of the technical manager.
You can make a reservation Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
