Fall Opening / Mallory Lowe Mpoka + Paula Valero Comín [translations pending]

Fonderie Darling launches its fall program on Thursday, September 11, at 5pm.

Presented as part of MOMENTA, the exhibition The Matriarch: Unravelled Threads by Mallory Lowe Mpoke retraces the history of her ancestors and, more broadly, that of a people marked by the violence surrounding the Cameroonian War of Independence in the 1950s and 1960s. Conversely, Paula Valero Comín's exhibition L'Herbier résistant Rosa Luxembourg weaves a botanical and political genealogy from local plants and the stories of committed women, revealing the multiple forms of resistance that emerge between urban biodiversity and social struggles.

Creative and reflective workshops, inspired by the Biennale 2025 exhibitions, will be offered throughout the exhibition.  Each workshop begins with a guided tour to immerse yourself in the works and their themes, before giving way to a collective activity.
