Jeannette Ehlers
Jeannette Ehlers’ art occupies public space by revisiting the history of colonialism and slavery within the Caribbean, a history that has determined the mixed trajectories from which the Trinidadian-Danish artist originates. From the two-dimensional image to corporeal and spatial extension, Ehlers combines photography, video, performance, sculpture, and installation in formally restrained works that are often based on collaboration.
