Catherine Lescarbeau

A multidisciplinary artist, Catherine Lescarbeau is interested in the relationship between conceptual art and institutional criticism and considers the relevance of these approaches today. Her most recent research focuses on the houseplant. By focusing on this object, the artist aims to develop an interface that allows her to reflect on the relationship between culture and nature within corporate and institutional spaces.

 

Biography

Catherine Lescarbeau is currently pursuing a doctorate in Art Studies and Practices at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She has participated in several solo and group exhibitions and presented various performances in Quebec and France, including Galerie UQO, Galerie Leonard & Bina Ellen, La Mirage, Fonderie Darling and FRAC Lorraine.
