Nikolay Karabinovych

Nikolay Karabinovych continues his project SPHERE(S) Mile End / With Ukraine: Shifting Spheres and Returns, in which the artist participates in a collective exploration of the shared histories between Ukrainian communities, the diasporas of Quebec and Canada, and the challenges of coexistence in a changing world. By examining the dynamics of migration, displacement, and memory, this project highlights the cultural and social transformations they engender. Through video, performance, sound, and sculpture, Karabinovych explores the histories of Eastern Europe through the lens of personal narratives. Her work addresses questions of identity, belonging, and exclusion, often using music as a cultural prism.

This project is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and the Consulate General of France in Quebec City. In partnership with the Ukrainian National Federation of Quebec, Phi, I’MMIGRANT, and Fonderie Darling.
