Aurélie Pétrel and Vincent Roumagnac

The two French artists have been initiating collaborative research since 2012. By cross-fertilizing their theoretical concerns and their implementation processes, they aim to answer the following line of questioning: What possible effective and critical meeting point can there be found in their intermedia convergence. Their approach seeks to bring together the performative activation caused by Roumagnac and photographic spatio-temporal extensions implemented by Petrel.

After training at l'École Supérieure d'Art Dramatique de La Comédie de Saint-Etienne/CDN and working as a theater director, Vincent Roumagnac decided to focus his work around intermedial creation in 2007.
He lives and works between Lyon, Berlin and Helsinki.
Aurélie Pétrel, is a graduate from l'École des Beaux Arts in Lyon. She also studied Art History at Concordia University, Montreal and currently lives and works in Paris, Geneva and Lyon.
