DURING THE OPENING OF ANDRÉ FORTINO AND ROY MEUWISSEN EXHIBITIONS 

This first monographic catalogue by Jon Knowles covers the artist’s exhibitions for the last ten years and builds upon the Darling Foundry's commitment to his production: his use of a studio for a 3 year period, the presentation of his exhibition Mixed Misuse and the production of this edition, The Last Decayed.

The text of critic and Montreal curator Vincent Bonin highlights the artist’s post-studio practice and points to the discourses and tensions that raises each of his projects, describing them in a chronological logic. Artist, Michael Eddy, who wrote the second text, builds on the links between the human experience and the experience of the collector.  A factual presentation of each exhibition by Jon Knowles enhances the understanding of his work. A nod to the Darling Foundry in the form of a postcard serves as a bookmark to this publication.

The event will be attended by authors Vincent Bonin and Michael Eddy, book designer Jeremy Stewart, as well as artist Jon Knowles.
