Jin's work, mainly conducted in duo with artist and designer Park Woohyuk, questions the codes and rules that govern society and our behaviour. Her work takes form of either immersive installations that mobilize video, choreography and scenographic sculptures, or newspapers and everyday artifacts, which operate as an open archive of her artistic research. From typographic design to the hijacking of found objects, Jin focuses on translating incompatible languages, questioning the meaning of signs and articulating bodies and symbols by telescoping human and monumental scales.
Jin Dallae holds a BFA in sculpture and an MFA in Visual Communication Design from Hong-Ik University in Seoul. She has been working over a decade with artist and designer Park Woohyuk, showing in solo and group exhibitions in South Korea.
