This summer, Fonderie Darling brings its Place Publique to life around the theme of the body in transformation. During three festive, performative Thursdays, the open space becomes the stage for metamorphoses that blur the boundaries between the human, the living and the fantastic.
The performances evoke a sensitive, moving presence that transcends convention to reinvent itself. Oscillating between nature and fiction, between desire and metamorphosis, the works conjure up powerful hybridity, where the performative gesture becomes a territory of emancipation.
In this sharing of contact, play and vulnerability, the body expands beyond its limits, blending the spectacular and the poetic, and asserting its ability to reinvent itself.
AN OPEN AN FREE SPACE
Fonderie Darling turns Place du Sable-Gris into a festive artistic meeting place open to the public every year. Performances, ephemeral installations and a terrace café invite the public to experience contemporary art outdoors, free of charge.
Thanks to the support of ODEA Montréal, Ville de Montréal and SDC du Vieux-Montréal, Place Publique becomes a playground for artists and a convivial space in the heart of the district.
