At the Darling Foundry, Sky Goodden is conducting research and writing towards the completion of a book project titled The Floating Academy: Artist Residencies in Contemporary Art, which she conceived of and began researching in 2011, and which is being co-edited by the curator and writer Lauren Wetmore. The book addresses a paucity of published material on the growing phenomenon of the artist residency, and its significance for the economy of art and its increasingly peripatetic community of practitioners. Sky Goodden will present her current research at the Darling Foundry.
