As part of his first solo show in Montreal, Roy Meuwissen will present his work in an informal talk where the public is warmly invited. The overview of the artist's work will be followed by a presentation of the exhibition by the artist and the curator, tackling the subject of appropriation in Meuwissen's work and how this strategy helps the artist come into being.

Originally trained as a painter, Roy Meuwissen composes ‘pictures’ typically presented as installations using photography, film and video alongside traditional media, objects and text.
