RIPA 2019

For this eighth edition, RIPA – rencontre interuniversitaire de performance actuelle will take place at the Darling Foundry. The event will unfold in two stages: first with a performance evening honouring emerging artists from university networks, followed the next day by a discussion panel addressing current themes in performance art.

During the performance evening on May 30th, eight performances by student artists will be presented. These emerging artists will be accompanied by Victoria Stanton our mentor artist for the 2019 edition, who will inaugurate the evening with a new performance piece.

The evening’s program brings together the following student artists:

About RIPA

RIPA (rencontre interuniversitaire de performance actuelle) is an annual non-profit event run by volunteer students whose aim is to promote the emerging performative practices from the Quebec university system and neighbouring areas. RIPA wishes to develop Quebec’s performance networks by fostering exchanges between students, audiences and the art community
