ABOUT GENTIANE BÉLANGER
Gentiane Bélanger is Director-Curator of the Foreman Art Gallery at Bishop's University since 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bishop's University, a Masters in Art History from Concordia University and a Ph.D. in Art History from Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and focuses on the intersections between contemporary art theory, neomaterialism, posthumanism, and philosophies of nature. She is currently Guest Professor at Université Laval and she regularly teaches art history at Bishop's University. She is a member of the board of directors at Sporobole Center for Contemporary Art and she sits on the scientific committee of the Grantham Foundation for the Arts and the Environment. Her writing has been published in a variety of academic journals, scholarly journals and exhibition catalogs including C Magazine, ESPACE, esse arts + opinions, ETC, the Grantham Foundation for the Arts and the Environment, and Plastik art & science.
