Transatlantic Residencies France-Canada

To stimulate exchanges between France and Quebec, MO.CO. Montpellier Contemporain, isdaT - institut supérieur des arts et du design de Toulouse and Quartier Éphémère (Fonderie Darling, Gare de Matapédia) have joined forces to develop the Résidences Transatlantiques, a cross-residency program.

The program is divided into two parts, one dedicated to artists and the other to curators. Two emerging artists, one from MO.CO. Esba - École supérieure des beaux-arts de Montpellier, and the other from isdaT - institut supérieur des arts et du design de Toulouse, benefit from a three-month creative residency that includes a stay at Fonderie Darling, a visual arts center in Montreal, and a two-week visit to Gaspésie, at the Gare de Matapédia - Pôle artistique et communautaire. The second part of the Résidences Transatlantiques program involves a curator from Quebec staying in France for a two-month research residency in Paris, Montpellier and Toulouse.
