Since 1994, Quartier Éphémère has promptly supported the practice of Mathieu Beauséjour. By developing a "semiotic terrorism" his conceptual work engages others through a redirecting of the object. In the spirit of resistance he approaches controversial topics, reflected in a political act.
Mathieu Beauséjour
Mathieu Beauséjour has exhibited at Quartier Éphémère/Darling Foundry in 1995 and 2007. His work has been shown across Canada, the Americas and Europe in artist-run centers, public and private galleries, biennales and museums alike, and is included in numerous museum collections such as the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and the Musée d'art contemporain de Montreal.
