ÉLISE DUBÉ

Laureate of the Matapédia-Montreal pilot exchange, Élise Dubé works with textile fibres to create two-dimensional works and site-specific installations. During her residency at the Fonderie Darling, she was introduced to the motifs of the arrow belt through a training program offered by the Centre Marius-Barbeau, allowing her to pursue her reflection on culture, identity and modes of appropriation of the territory in an original way, from surveying to construction sites.

GENEVIÈVE AND MATTHIEU

Active for more than thirty years, the artist duo Geneviève et Matthieu treats the human body as a living art site. Their interdisciplinary practice combines performance and installation, music and contemporary art, with the festive and humble gestures of everyday life.

Resulting from a partnership between Fonderie Darling, Théâtre Lachapelle and Galerie Pierre-François Ouellette Art Contemporain, the artist duo has been invited to use a studio at Fonderie Darling to continue the realization of their work Mr. Big, presented in a performative version earlier this fall at La Chapelle, scènes contemporaines and currently presented in an installation format at Galerie Pierre-François Ouellette Art Contemporain.
