H3C Evening

We live on rue Queen in the Cité Multimédia. We throw eggs at the mafia. At night, we are awakened by the engines of  motorcycles. Two hundred birds, real birds, nest in front of our windows. Drones survey the condos, searching for dismal food. Our meetings are parasitized by feedback demons. We know a secret spot, fish blood and techno-shamanism—all of the financing ends up in our pockets. We’ve lived in this neighbourhood for ten years.

Come and see: sound art, literature, dance.

PARTICIPANTS

TRIO FLUO À 4

(Marie-Ève Carrière, Marie-Eve Quilicot, Marilyn St-Sauveur et Anne Thériault)

1990. We dream of ballet jazz. We are 10 years old.

2000. Time passes. We develop a professional practice in the performing arts.

2010. We perform in places all over the world.

2020. We dust off a choreography from an end of year dance recital. We are nearing our forties.

This evening, we will be presenting a revived ballet jazz performance accompanied by a delicious musical medley. With our present bodies of women: mothers and artists. An homage to this aesthetic that, at one time, gave us the desire to dance…

Choreography by the École de Ballet Repentigny, year 1990

Music by Jeannine Thibault, Golden Pan Flute and other cassette tapes
