Place Publique 2026

For the summer of 2026, Place Publique will serve as an outdoor creative and learning laboratory, where invited artists and collectives will lead creative walks and participatory workshops throughout the neighbourhood.

These activities are free and open to the public, fostering connection, exchange, and social cohesion. The program prioritizes an inclusive and sensitive approach to cultural mediation to foster a sense of belonging among residents. Artists co-create the content with Fonderie Darling's team to ensure the work is well-suited to the urban space, allowing residents to enjoy powerful and unique experiences.

The Laboratory features works by Rodrigo Alcântra, yuki kéké tam, Camille-Zoé Valcourt-Synnott, and Victoria Stanton, which will be presented on August 13. A soft launch of Valcourt-Synnott’s work Break Room will take place on July 9: the temporary installation will then be on view for five weeks at Place du Sable-Gris during opening hours, Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 7 pm.
