Québec-Acadie Residencies

Fonderie Darling, Gare de Matapédia, and Projet Borgitte are thrilled to launch the second edition of Résidences Québec-Acadie. By joining forces, three leading venues located in the city (Fonderie Darling), the Gaspé region (Gare de Matapédia), and New Brunswick (Projet Borgitte) are acting as host sites for artists.
Local partners—the Centre d’Artistes Vaste et Vague in Carleton-sur-mer, the Galerie Sans Nom in Moncton, the Struts Gallery in Sackville, the Galerie Universitaire Louise-et-Ruben Cohen in Moncton, and the Owens Gallery in Sackville—support the program by hosting artists on an ad hoc basis and organizing public presentations. These cross-residencies aim to strengthen ties between Canadian Francophone communities, while promoting Acadian culture and bringing together the English- and French-speaking art scenes of the two provinces.
Artists from Quebec and New Brunswick are invited to apply for one or more of the four residencies, which vary in format, are based on reciprocity, and are organized as follows
Residency #1: February 13 to May 14, 2026
