Open Access International Residency
ABOUT
The Open Access international residency welcomes artists and curators from around the world to an open, flexible creative environment deeply rooted in a spirit of exchange. Designed to respond to evolving practices and new forms of artistic mobility, it offers tailor-made stays in the heart of Fonderie Darling, a former 19th-century industrial complex transformed into a vibrant hub for artistic production and dissemination.
The residency includes a studio-apartment, access to technical and common areas, as well as professional artistic guidance and support for networking and promotion to various audiences. The duration is flexible and can range from three to six months, depending on the project and studio availability. Based on a collaborative approach, Fonderie Darling supports each winner in preparing for their stay, while giving them the freedom to adapt their pace and path within the program.
Artists are selected during four annual juries, held in March, June, September, and December.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Open year-round, the Open Access international residency program is open to contemporary artists and curators of all nationalities, including Canadians. Everyone is invited to submit a residency project tailored to their needs, according to the terms and conditions outlined below.
